Permaculture Victoria Inc.
is a member-based non-profit association established in 1981 as Permaculture Melbourne Inc. to promote the sustainable development of Melbourne. It has grown to become an umbrella organisation supporting a range of local and special interest groups with membership across Victoria.

PDC – Dandenong Ranges
February 4 – July 4, 2015, Wednesdays 6:30pm – 9:30pm, plus four Saturday field trips.
Cost: $700 or $550 with concession card
This is a 72 hour + Course which gives you an internationally recognized qualification; a Certificate is presented upon completion.

Upon completion each participant will understand Permaculture Design Principles and present their own Permaculture Design, with mentor support and resources available not only throughout the duration of the course, but post completion. Classes provide a break from the regular ‘chalk and talk’ academic environment, focusing on each person’s learning style to give a variety of teaching methods and processes that compliment the diversity of a group. Each participant will receive a Permaculture Design Course Booklet by Gaiacraft, as well as additional handouts compiled from various sources and written both by Tamara Griffiths and The Perma Pixie.

Natural Beekeeping Course for Beginners
The Bee Group, a special interest group of Permaculture Melbourne, periodically offers a weekend training course to equip beginners with sufficient knowledge to start natural beekeeping.> Natural Beekeeping sees the well-being of the bees as no less important than the honey yield. It is simple and low-cost – perfectly suited for small-scale backyard beekeeping. Each day of this two-day course has four one-hour information sessions, hands-on segments, theory covering equipment, hive management, honey harvesting, diseases and legislation, and a Q&A session. Morning and afternoon teas provided; BYO lunch. Cost: $200 for Permaculture Melbourne members / $250 non-members. Location: Mitcham (eastern suburbs of Melbourne).
